Proposed activities on Portion 8 of Farm 223, Plettenberg Bay

HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), has been appointed by GPC Property Investments (Pty) Ltd to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA, Act No. 107 of 1998, as amended) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2014, as amended).

Portion 8 of Farm 223 Uplands is located along Uplands Road, off the R340 north of Plettenberg Bay.

The proposal entails implementation of the following:

Consent use activities:
- Addition of Eco-Cabins
- Addition of a Campsite
- Addition of a Farmers’ Market and Farm Shop (in area called “Farmers Market Area” on plan below)
- Addition of a Private Airfield
Farming activities:
- Creation of cultivation lands (areas that has been previously cultivated)

This includes all associated road, firebreaks and service.

Primary right activities as per the Municipal approved building plans are addressed in the documents.

In terms of Regulations 3(4) and 40 of the NEMA EIA Regulations (2014, as amended), this letter serves to notify you that the Pre-Application Basic Assessment Report (BAR) is available for a 30-day commenting period from 06 August 2026 until 07 September 2026.
