Construction of a new sewer line on Farm 454, Robberg

HilLand Environmental have been appointed as the Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP) by the applicant, Department of Transport and Public Works for CapeNature, represented by Uhambiso Consult (Pty) Ltd, to ensure compliance with regulations contained in the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA Act No. 107 of 1998) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2014), as amended, for the proposed construction of a new sewer line from the existing ablution facility within Robberg Nature Reserve to the nearest Bitou Municipal sewer network manhole.

Environmental Authorisation (EA) was granted for Preferred Option 1 – to install a gravity outfall sewer from the existing ablution block to the nearest existing Bitou Municipality sewer network manhole, for the construction of a new gravity sewer pipeline and upgrade of the existing sewer infrastructure in the Robberg Nature Reserve, Farm 454, near Plettenberg Bay within the Bitou Local Municipality in the Western Cape.

EA was granted on 28 March 2022 and issued on 30 March 2022
