THE LUXURY ECO-RESORT ON PORTION 29 OF FARM 585, MIER FARM, NORTHERN CAPE
HilLand Environmental (Pty) Ltd, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP), have been appointed by the applicant, Hotel 55 (Pty) Ltd, represented by Mr A Thirion, to ensure compliance with the regulations contained in the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA, No. 107 of 1998, as amended) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended) for the proposed luxury eco-resort on Portion 29 of Farm 585, Northern Cape.
The eco-resort will consist of the following:
- South-eastern section of the property: Guest entrance gate area with parking and reception. A small 50-bedroom 3-star hotel catering to normal visitors to the area may be constructed within this reception area.
- Service entrance gate area with service building for staff accommodation, manager house, maintenance, housekeeping, stables etc.
- North-western section of the property: 13 exclusive 6-star guest lodges with a communal restaurant, bar, conference centre, gym & spa.
- A manor house – for the owner
- A 20x20m hanger and an airstrip along one of the existing roads 20mx1500m airstrip
- Game boma.
- Fencing, gates and game drive tracks.
- Game waterholes.
The Draft BAR will be available for comment for the period 15 March 2024 to the 17 April 2024. Please provide us with your comments / concerns prior to the close of the comment period in written format via email (admin@hilland.co.za).
