Amendment application for a security fence installation in the southern portion of Paradise Coast Eco Estate, Mossel Bay

HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), have been appointed by Papilio Investments 33 (Pty) Ltd, to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA, No. 107 of 1998, as amended) and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2014, as amended).

The proposal entails the installation of an electrified security fence in the southern portion of the Paradise Coast Eco Estate Development (Remainder of Portion 1 of the Farm Droogfontein No. 245) as security has become a serious problem and the southern section of the estate can no longer be left open. The substantive amendment entails a change in the scope and description of the project which will be amended to include the security fence in the southern portion of the development – not on the cadastral boundary.  The fence line will not affect/block access to the St Blaize trail in any way.

The Final Environmental Impact Report was submitted to the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning (DEA&DP) for decision making on 13th December 2023.
