OSCAE Application for Portion 83 of Farm 192, Kleinkrantz, Wilderness

HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP), have been appointed by the applicant, Marne Trust represented by Nerise Bekker, to ensure compliance in terms of Section 21 of the Environmental Conservation Act for the disturbance, removal or pruning of vegetation and earthworks required for the building of a primary dwelling and associated farm infrastructure (vegetable garden and farm shed) on Portion 83 of Farm 192, Kleinkrantz, Wilderness.

The property, zoned Agricultural Zone II, is currently vacant previous farmland located on Bo-langvlei Road in the Kleinkrantz area of Wilderness.  The proposed construction that requires an OSCAE permit (for vegetation clearing and earthworks) includes a primary home and small farm shed and driveway. The area has been extensively cultivated dating back to 1936. Continued cultivation of vegetables and fruits will take place on the balance of the property and indigenous gardening as per the owner’s planning around the house.

The application will be available for comment from the 4^th of November 2021 and closes within 30-days from its availability (4 November 2021 – 6 December 2021).
