Nikwaflora (Pty) Ltd Section 24G Application

HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), have been appointed by Nikwaflora (Pty) Ltd, to ensure compliance the Environmental Process for the Unlawful Commencement or Continuation of Activities in terms of Section 24G of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 8 of 2004) and for complying with the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations which have been promulgated in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (Act No. 107 of 1998) and Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2014 (as amended), Portion 9 of 38, Portions 13 of 33, Friemersheim.

Background on activity: Proposed rectification for vegetation clearing (alien vegetation) on sections of Portion 9 of 38 and Portion 13 of 33, in order to:

• Retain agricultural use in the areas previously used for agriculture;
• Rectify and retain an area of cultivation originally intended for rehabilitation;
• Clear additional Gum plantation and Black Wattle infestation to establish agricultural areas.
