HilLand Environmental (Pty) Ltd have been appointed as the Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP) by the applicant, Cape Estates Properties Outeniqua Pty Ltd, to ensure compliance with regulations contained in the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA Act No. 107 of 1998), the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2014), as amended, and the National Water Act (Act No. 36 of 1998) for the proposed minor changes to the approved Site Development Plan for Kraaibosch Park, including structures / infrastructure within the delineated wetland / watercourse area to complete the stormwater management plan.

 In terms of Regulations 3(4) & 40 of the NEMA EIA Regulations (2014, as amended) to notify you of the availability of the Draft Basic Assessment Report (BAR) and associated appendices for its 30-day commenting period (6 September – 7 October 2024).

 In terms of public participation Regulations of the NEMA, you are hereby advised that you have 30 days from 6 September 2024 to submit any comments on the Draft BAR.

 Please provide us with your comments / concerns relating to the proposal during the aforementioned timeframes in written format via email.

 Please note that your comments on the above matter will form part of the public record in terms of POPIA.
