Amendment Application, Kingswood Golf Estate
Erven 22440 and 28586
HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), have been appointed by the land owner (Applicant and future new holder of the EA for this portion of the development), Lumacon Construction represented by Mr Baren Jacobus van der Merwe, to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA, No. 107 of 1998, as amended) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014 (as amended).
Erven 22440 & 28586 (here after referred to as ‘the property’) have been sold by the Kingswood Golf Estate Developers to the applicant Lumacon Construction and the current approval allows for the development of 114 Golf Lodges on Erf 22440 & a Hotel with a 350 delegate conference centre on Erf 28586.
An amendment of the current EA requires the following:
- Details of the Holder of the EA applicable to Erven 22440 & 28586 (in accordance with condition 14 of the EA (2010))
- Amendment of the Site Development Plan (SDP) and description of the development on Erven 22440 & 28586 (currently approved for development of golf lodges and a hotel). The intent is to change the SDP back to residential purposes – Estate Residential housing and apartments within the greater Kingswood Golf Estate (in accordance with condition 11 of the EA (2010))
The final report has been submitted to DEADP for their decision-making. The documents can be supplied on request.
