This notificaiton serves in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) EIA Regulations, 2014 (as amended) Section 34 – Environmental Audit Report to all registered I&APs. 

 The construction of a 1Mℓ potable water reservoir directly next to the existing 1Mℓ potable water reservoir and the existing 200Kℓ raw water reservoir on Erf 37, Leeu Gamka, Prince Albert Municipal area was granted Environmental Authorisation (EA Ref. 16/3/3/1/C2/7/0039/24) on 2 April 2025. Construction has been completed and the reservoir is operational.

 HilLand Environmental was appointed as the Environmental Control Officer (ECO) for the project. Maretha Alant was appointed by Prince Albert Municipality to conduct an External Environmental Audit in terms of compliance with conditions 17 and 18 stipulated in the EA and to comply with the approved updated Environmental Management Programme (EMPr). SMEC Consulting Engineers managed the construction phase.

The External Environmental Audit Report and associated appendices have been submitted to the Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning (DEA&DP) on 4 March 2026.
