Section 24G: Farm Hanglip RE/4/305, Plettenberg Bay

HilLand Environmental, have been appointed by the applicant and landowner of Farm Hanglip RE/4/305, Plettenberg Bay, Jason Kozinsky, as Independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), to facilitate a Section 24G application process in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) and the amended (April 2017) Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014.

A new access driveway has been constructed on the property in accordance with the approval of Department of Transport and Public Works (based on the decommissioning of the current access).

The construction of the road in the Estuarine Functional Zone did however constitute a listed activity in terms of the NEMA EIA Regulations for which environmental authorisation was required prior to construction, unknown to the owner.

The final Section 24G report has been submitted to DEADP for their decision-making process.
