OSCAE Application for Portion 277 of Farm 192, Langvlei Dunes

HilLand Environmental, independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP), have been appointed by the applicant, Mr and Mrs Miller, to ensure compliance in terms of Section 21 of the Environmental Conservation Act for the disturbance, removal or pruning of vegetation and earthworks required for the building of a primary dwelling, associated infrastructure, the creation of a gardening area and proposed fencing on Portion 277 of Farm 192, Langvlei Dunes, Wilderness.

The clearance of alien invasive and moribund (dead) fynbos vegetation has been conducted within a demarcated area under an OSCAE permit (dated: 24 June 2019). The proposal now is to construct a primary dwelling and associated infrastructure / activities within the cleared area.

The following application will undergo a 30-day commenting period commencing on the 14th of July 2020 (14 July 2020 – 17 August 2020). Please provide your comments / concerns relating to the proposed clearing during the time frame, in written format via email.
