THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF THE MALL OF THE NORTH WEST ON ERF 11883 (PORTION OF ERF 506), VRYBURG
HilLand Environmental have been appointed as the Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAP) by the applicant, Dusty Moon Investment 344 (Pty) Ltd represented by Jacques Reynecke, to ensure compliance with regulations contained in the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA Act No. 107 of 1998) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations (2014), as amended, for the proposed development of the Mall of the North West on Erf 11883, Vryburg.
The Draft Basic Assessment Report (BAR) has undergone a 30-day commenting period (commenting period closed on the 11th of February 2022).
As part of the Heritage submission for the basic assessment and comment by SAHRA on the Draft BAR, SAHRA requested additional information in the form of a Phase 1 Archaeological and Cultural Heritage Impact Assessment and its associated Heritage Management Plan.
These reports will be added to the Draft BAR and are now available for a 30 day public comment.
Comment period is from the 18 March 2022 – 20 April 2022
In terms of Regulation 3 (4) and 40 of NEMA: EIA Regulations (2014, as amended) you are hereby advised that you have 30-days from the 18th of March 2022 to submit any comments. Please provide us with your comments / concerns relating to the proposal during the timeframe (18 March 2022 – 20 April 2022) in written format via fax or email. Please note that you need to declare your interest in the above matter and that the information will form part of the public record in terms of POPIA.
