Section 24(G) application, Erf 42, Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale, Riversdale

HilLand Environmental, have been appointed by the applicant, Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale on Erf 42, Riversdale, as Independent Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs), to facilitate a Section 24G application process in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998) and the amended Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2014.

This application will serve to rectify the clearance of vegetation (old lands) that was undertaken without the required NEMA environmental authorisation or an approved Maintenance Management Plan (MMP). Areas were cultivated and an access track for livestock movement was created without the necessary Environmental Authorisation (EA) being in place.

The rectification application will allow the school to retain and continue to make use of these cultivated areas and the livestock movement track.

The report will be available for a 30-day commenting period: 29 October – 28 November 2025. Please provide us with your input/comments within the specifieid timeframe via email – admin@hilland.co.za.
